Lesson plans are individualized based on the needs of the student. Therefore you can learn by yourself or with friends! Private lessons including one-on-one time with the instructor are the most common way to study the piano. Duo or small group lessons are also an option.
Natalie is a nationally certified teacher of music (NCTM) through the Music Teachers National Association. She also holds a masters degree in piano pedagogy from the University of Louisville and a bachelors degree in piano performance from Bowling Green State University. Study in a stimulating studio environment on a grand piano surrounded by the peaceful country fields of northwest Ohio. During a student's lesson, parents and siblings can enjoy spacious waiting areas either indoors or outdoors during warm seasons.
The Notes from Natalie studio offers a range of different performance opportunities to fit the needs of every student. Performances range from low- pressure studio parties where students play games and perform for one another to more serious studio recitals where students perform for a larger audience.
Studying the piano involves so many skills, you’ll be amazed by some of the other abilities many students often improve. To name a few...concentration and focus, hand and finger dexterity, memory recall, aural skills, and time management. Not to mention the pleasure and confidence boost that most musicians feel from playing the music they enjoy!
All work and no play makes Natalie a dull musician. That’s why students can enjoy a number of fun studio activities and games during lessons. Become student of the month and be featured on the studio website. Come to a monthly studio party to meet other pianists your age and share your music! All are welcome to participate in the ongoing piano points reward system.
